Scotweigh integration: the tills know what every counter weighed. marql shows what each shop earned.

The Scotweigh Connect integration reads receipts, products, waste, stock and purchase orders from your Scotweigh control panel into marql's daily operating briefing, read-only. Weighed and counted lines are kept apart, so a kilo of mince and a pie are never added together, and every shop gets its own waste and stock view, with margin wherever the products carry a cost price.

What data flows

What marql reads from Scotweigh

Receipts by shop, hour and day, with discounts and tenders

Product and department sales, weighed lines in kilograms

Waste at cost and returns, per shop and day

Stock levels, stock takes, suppliers and purchase orders

Why connect

What you get with Scotweigh connected

  • Weighed lines read as weight, not as a count of sales

Scotweigh prices fresh products per kilogram, per 100 g or per piece. marql reads each product's price base, so steak sold by weight is reported in kilograms and a sausage roll in pieces, and the cost of each line is calculated on the same base.

  • Waste next to sales, at cost, for every shop

Waste recorded on the tills comes into marql at cost, per shop and day, beside what the same counter sold. A shop throwing away more of a cut than its neighbours shows up in the morning briefing rather than at the stock take.

  • Purchase orders and stock takes in the same picture

Suppliers, purchase orders and what was received, plus completed stock takes, are read alongside sales. You can see what was ordered, what arrived and what is left in each shop without exporting anything from the control panel.

How it works

From Scotweigh to your daily briefing in three steps

01

Connect

We set up a read-only connection to Scotweigh. No data is written back. Your existing workflow stays unchanged.

02

Sync

marql pulls data on your schedule — hourly or daily. All data is normalised into a single model across all your integrations.

03

Briefing

Your daily operating briefing is ready each morning with revenue, margin, alerts, and store benchmarks — including data from Scotweigh.

History is backfilled, so the first briefing runs on your own numbers.

FAQ

Common questions about the Scotweigh integration

Ask Scotweigh support for an API username and API key, then enter them with your control panel address in marql. The connection test lists your shops, each trading shop becomes a store in marql, and the last 90 days of history are imported by default.

No. The integration only reads. It does not change products, prices, promotions or orders in Scotweigh Connect.

Customer records, loyalty, vouchers, customer orders and operators' names are never imported. From a receipt marql keeps only the sales fields, and from suppliers only their names and references.

New and changed receipts are read every few minutes through the day, and a full pass each night picks up waste, returns, stock, purchase orders and promotions. Times are read in London time.

No. Every shop on the control panel is read, and each one is reported as its own store, so you can compare sales, margin and waste between shops. A shop that is not available on the tills is not created as a store.
